GATI provides hyper-intensive immersion programs in various fields for high school students from all over the globe who show enthusiasm, intelligence and talent.
UCI x GATI programs offer students the unique opportunity to be matched with UCI research faculty from various departments and specialties (i.e., Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, Computer Science, Informatics, Game Science, Esports and Medicine), explore the processes of research and innovation, collaborate, and gain clarity for their futures.

Each summer, UCI x GATI students:
- Attend lectures and presentations given by outstanding UCI faculty and guest speakers
- Engage in classroom discussions about core research topics
- Engage with and learn from current graduate students and post-docs
- Develop and enhance their leadership skills through collaborative teamwork
- Visit labs and enterprises to speak with successful leaders from different industries and fields
- Work in teams to design and present to UCI faculty and staff
- Participate in social activities that encourage personal growth
- Test their potential for a future in research and innovation
